Our Under 14 Epsom Scorpions, coached by Peter Harris, were involved in the NAIDOC Week Showcase fixtures at the Tom Flood Sports Centre, an opportunity only a select few teams get as this fixture was the first of 4 matches being play at the Tom Flood Sports Centre.
The NAIDOC Week Showcase event sees FC Eaglehawk play Strathdale SC in the seniors but this year FC Eaglehawk incorporated their U14 side in the event, which fortuned our U14 side.
NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth. You can support and get to know your local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities through activities and events held across the country.
Unfortunately we lost the match 3-2 to FC Eaglehawk, with Ger K'Lu Moo scoring both goals.
